Lenny and Ziggy would be so disappointed

Sometimes words come out of my mouth (or off my fingertips) that I never could have imagined myself saying when I was younger.

Today's edition:  I'm thrilled with my new copper pipes!  Well, also the hot water that the pipes bring upstairs is appreciated.

Caught the Amtrak home in an effort to get here promptly for the plumber.  (Why'd I bother? He showed up 3 hours late.)  The train was FULL.  And a lot of the passengers seemed to have never ridden a train before and didn't get train etiquette, either how to negotiate the aisle or the unlikelihood of getting seats together when large groups board late.  Especially around holidays.  1st rule of holiday Amtrak rides:  grab the first open seat you see, because it probably won't stay open while you wibble about sitting with your BFF.

Saw a cat today that looked like Bashful. I miss her.

I didn't get to go for a walk today and am feeling sloth-like, despite 40 minutes on the bike at the gym.  I like to take a 30 minute walk every day, even if it's just around the neighborhood at lunch or home from the train station in the evening.

I should probably think about packing, shouldn't I?
